Changes in the Magic: The Gathering®DCI™Floor Rules

Section 101:
Standard (with Block Constructed) and Extended ratings combined into one Constructed rating.

Section 114:
The play/draw determination is left open to any time before looking at hands.
Removed the requirement that pre-game procedures be performed "in order".
Added notation allowing shuffling, then sideboarding, then sufficient shuffling (beginning shuffling does not mean you cannot change sideboard decisions)

Section 116:
Five turn rule example and clarification added.
Additional games are not started once the match time has expired. (clarification)

Section 121:
Clarification added concerning snow-covered lands (allowed only in formats that include Ice Age).

Section 125:
Standard legal sets updated through Invasion.
Block rotation example changed from Rath Cycle to Urza Block.

Section 126:
Extended legal sets updated through Invasion.

Section 127: Ivory Tower removed from the restricted list.
Mirror Universe removed from the restricted list.
Tolarian Academy added to the restricted list

Section 129:
Block constructed formats updated through Invasion.
Masques Block bannings added.

Section 144:
Extraneous four-person team reference removed.


Section 147:
Clarified example for team Rochester seating.

Appendix A:
Entire appendix contents are new. Contents are a list of premiere events with event requirements for each. The Master Tournament, Friday Night Magic, and Amateur Championship are all relatively new premiere events. National Championships vary in K-value based on open or closed participation. The following is a chart detailing the basic event information from Appendix A:
