Plan to be in line by 9:30am. Players not registered by 9:45am will be given a first round loss.

    Who can play?... All pokemon players. You do not need to qualify to play in Regionals

    Premier event: K value of 32

    Rounds: Age Modified Swiss (all players will play in every round) - Top Cut Finals is single elimination two out of three match play. The number of swiss rounds depends on the number of players.

    Round timing: All junior and senior rounds (swiss and single elimination) are planned to be completed on Saturday, April 14. For Masters, the plan is to complete the swiss rounds and the top 32 single elimination round on Saturday. It is expected (based on attendance) that the top 16 will be played on Sunday morning (8:00am start time). For the Masters 8:00pm will be the cutoff for starting a round on Saturday evening (so it is possible we could complete the top 16).

    Three age groups:

    Junior Division: Born in 2001 or later
    Senior Division: Born in 1997, 1998, 1999, or 2000
    Masters Division: Born in 1996 or earlier

    1st Place

  1. A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 1st Place medal
  2. A Travel Award for the winner (including a parent or legal guardian for players under 18)* to the 2012 U.S. National Championships at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana
  3. A first- and second-round bye at the U.S. National Championships**
  4. A combination of 72 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  5. 10 Championship Points
  6. 2nd Place

  7. A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 2nd Place medal
  8. A first- and second-round bye at the U.S. National Championships**
  9. A combination of 72 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
  10. 8 Championship Points
  11. 3rd & 4th Place

  12. A Pokémon TCG Regional Championships 3rd or 4th Place medal
  13. A combination of 36 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions

  15. 5th Place through 8th Place

  16. A combination of 24 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions

  20. 4 Championship Points (if division attendance is 32 or greater)

  28. 1 Championship Point (if division attendance is 128 or greater)
  29. * Non-U.S. residents are not eligible to collect a Travel Award to the U.S. National Championships, as the U.S. Nationals are open to U.S. residents only. Non-Canadian residents are not eligible to collect a Travel Award to the Canadian National Championships, as the Canadian Nationals are open to Canadian residents only. If a non-resident wins a Regional Championship, the Travel Award will pass down to the next eligible resident. All other prizes will be awarded to the actual winner of the event.

    ** Byes do not ‘stack.’ If you have won a bye in another event such as the S/P/T Championship and finish in the top 2 of a Regional Championship, you will receive a first- and second-round bye at your National Championships.


    Format: Modified Constructed


    get a decklist

    Players bring their decks with them. Each deck needs to have exactly 60 cards, with no more than 4 of any card except basic energy cards. Cards from the following sets are legal for the 2010-2011 season as of September 1, 2010:

    Older cards (from prior sets)
    can only be used if they have been reprinted in one of the sets listed above
    Players need to write down their decks on a deck list (any plain piece of notepaper is fine)

    Bring your POP ID card, if you have one. If you don't have a POP ID, one will be given to you at the event.
